The founder story
We are delighted that the story behind our startup Bookhoover® are interested in. You began with a Perfume capa Speed reading course and the tireless desire to revolutionize the world of reading.
Danielthe founder of Bookhoover®was faced with the challenge of reconciling professional reading material with personal interests and hobbies. Like so many of us, in addition to his job as a Development engineer He had many other interests and passions that found too little space in his life. Reading and absorbing knowledge from books was important to him, but there often seemed to be a lack of time and energy.
The decisive turning point came when he took part in a speed reading course and realized that his reading habits were playing a major role. He decided to take a closer look at the subject and picked up tips and tricks from experts such as Jim Kwik, Tony Buzan and Tim Ferris. He realized that improving reading speed was not just about reading faster, but also about reading efficiently and overcoming outdated reading habits.
The eyes play a crucial role in this, as they absorb the information. Daniel realized that almost everyone is able to read faster than most of us do. It is precisely this ability that can be applied to printed and digital texts. By specifically controlling eye movements with a reading aid, old habits can be overcome and reading made easier.
Initially, Daniel used various methods such as his index finger, pens or narrow objects as reading aids. However, none of these solutions were satisfactory. Pens and objects required sustained effort to guide the eyes and the index finger was too short and not ergonomic enough.
This gave rise to the idea of developing a reading aid that combined both - the Bookhoover® was born. Daniel received active support from Manadoctor and illustrator, who helped develop the design and has been an integral part of Bookhoover ever since.®-team.
The first prototypes were created using 3D printing and enabled Daniel to guide his eyes more comfortably through the lines of text. He was also able to write more ergonomically with the integrated pen. But that was just the beginning. Everyone has different preferences for pens and finger types. As digital writing became increasingly important, the idea for a stylus for digital handwriting was born.
The development of the Bookhoover® was a long process in which numerous designs and functions were tested. There were Many failed attempts and variants until the first final bookhoovers® was created. The positive reactions of the first testers at home were an encouraging confirmation that this product offers added value.
As a small Startup developing your own product is always a challenging journey. However, Daniel and Mana are determined to continuously develop and make the Bookhoover®-experience even better. Yours Feedback and your support are invaluable, as it is only possible to tackle problems and learn together.
ConclusionEvery book can contain a small sentence that can make a big difference and initiate change. Reading broadens our horizons, allows us to experience other places and times, and inspires us to make new discoveries. Daniel and Mana hope that the Bookhoover® will give you as much pleasure in reading and writing as they do and will help you to read more efficiently and, above all, to read more.
With best regards,
Daniel and Mana from Bookhoover
