So that reading
goes better.
A reading gadget.
Reading aid and pen cleverly combined.
Ergonomically worn on the finger for a new reading and writing experience.
More efficient reading.
To actively guide your eyes through the lines of text to gain more focus, concentration and speed.
Lack of focus, lack of attention, distraction and tiredness.
When we read, our eyes do not glide smoothly through the text, but jump from word to word and backwards in the text or slip in the line.
Too many unnecessary movements cause the eye muscles to tire prematurely.
This is the reason why focus and concentration wane and you are quickly distracted.
Biological stimulus and active reading.
Your eyes are attracted to movement and
automatically follow a "pointer".
This increases your concentration, your attention is focused and you are less distracted.
Reading becomes more active.
The interplay of eye and hand movement further increases focus and reading flow, as several senses are now involved in the reading process.
By consciously leading faster, you can set a faster reading pace. Words are grasped more quickly and internal babbling is reduced.

Although it is natural to use the finger to focus on a text, as children do, this can be a hindrance as the finger is short and thick and covers too much text.
A longer object with a thin tip allows a wider field of view and offers a greater range of movement.
E-book reader Note: Here the finger would activate the screen.
The pen or similar must be actively held, which leads to constant strain on the hand muscles and the entire forearm.
You will easily recognize the cramping of the hand and forearm when "holding the pen in a tweezer grip".
You also lose the ability to move your fingers "naturally" from the ball and socket joint when using a pen.
The Bookhoover® as an eye guide combines the comfort and naturalness of your own finger by avoiding any kind of cramping, yet still offering the range of movement of a pen or a pointer.
Our compact ballpoint pen is integrated into the Bookhoover® Ink
.
It is perfect for handwritten notes on paper or directly in the book.
The compact ballpoint pen directly on your finger:
The fine refill with a ball diameter of 0.7 mm produces an elegant fine line of 0.4 mm. Waterproof ink in blue or black for document-proof writing. If it runs out, you can easily screw in a replacement tip.
Incidentally, 5 refills in your chosen color are included.
The Bookhoover is produced using innovative 3D printing technology, the multi-jet fusion process.
This allows its special filigree design and the flexible finger holder to be reproduced from just one material.
The 3D printed base bodies are then carefully assembled by hand with the respective pin unit.

Faces behind
The brains behind Bookhoover® are Mana and Daniel from Cologne. In a speed reading course, they learned that you can actually read faster and more concentrated with the right methods.
As an engineer and tinkerer, Daniel couldn't resist developing the first reading tool that increases focus while reading. Thanks to Mana's knack for design and eye for detail, the idea could be realized.
Look forward to more focus and distraction-free, better reading!
You can test the Bookhoover for 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you get your money back!

Our customers say it best
My husband gave me the Bookhover Ink as a present and I am absolutely thrilled. If it didn't already exist, it would have to be invented.
I always have it with me everywhere and find the combination of "reading aid" and pen simply brilliant.
Now that a little time has passed in which my grandchild has used the Booky, I have received feedback that he is using it more and more at school. I think it's normal for him to get used to using it and it takes some time. I am hopeful that the next time he visits me, I will be told that using the Booky will help with his reading in the long term. Mana and Daniel are great and very committed start-ups. I wish them continued success.
You are really very nice and totally committed, Mana and Daniel! I particularly liked your newsletter with the 5 libraries - great idea! You produced everything in perfect quality, except that the letters in the case are difficult to read in poor light. The letters could be bigger. I am currently trying out my "Bookhoover Ink". I have to say that I almost always read in an armchair with my legs up (I'm 82!). It's not easy because it's not suitable for reading newspapers, and when reading books I've found that I'm faster with my eyes than with my finger. But I'll stay on the ball! And I think it's good to support you! Best regards Helgard Weise-Sunnus
I can't get over how nicely the Bookhover sits on my finger, and it's light too. I always had problems with my mind wandering while reading. By guiding each line with this tool, I am totally engrossed in the book.
Thank you very much for your great idea! My colleagues saw it at the beginning very skeptical but one has already convinced the Bookhover.
Since I'm bad at concerted, read but love I needed something to help me not read every sentence 10 times.
Through google I landed here and placed my order. Oh, it's something that helps me keep focus and then I can use it to note things that I think are important.
Upon arrival, I tried it right away and I'll be honest, put it away after a short time because I could not relax my finger. The tip for tracking was just too long for my already long fingers.
Shortly after my purchase, an email came asking if everything was okay and so I voiced my criticism. Instead of saying, "yeah well, then our product is probably not for you," I received a great solution. There is a shorter tip to this.
And what can I say. Now it helps me a lot. The shorter tip is perfect for me. It helps me read and write down my thoughts. And since I have to be even more organized starting next year and have a finger on the paper at all times, I'm ordering one-three right away so I always have one with me.
Still unanswered questions?
We are a young start-up and manufacture every Bookhoover® ourselves, depending on the version ordered. Design, 3D printing, post-processing, painting, assembly, packaging and shipping - all steps take time and are largely carried out by us as a small team in Cologne.
We would like to share the Bookhoover® with you and would be pleased if you understand the longer delivery time.
Thank you for your patience and support. You will soon have your Bookhoover® at home, because anticipation is still the greatest joy.

Yep,
what kind of text lines you lead your eyes through is independent of the presentation. (classic books, printouts, eBooks on tablets or e-readers, newspaper, magazine, etc.) The pointing cap (pacer) is functionally the same for all Bookhoover® variants.
The tip of the pacer acts as a visual guide without activating the surface of the e-reader or tablet as a finger would. Thus, the Bookhoover® is even very well suited for this purpose.
All Bookhoover and Booky variants are symmetrical and can be placed on either the left or right index finger to actively read and guide the eyes through the text.
Tip:
Switch the Bookhoover® to the non-dominant hand from time to time, read and write with this hand to challenge and train the brain anew.

You can choose between SMALL, MEDIUM and LARGE .
Please measure the circumference of your index finger at the top joint (see orange measuring tape):
If the circumference is smaller than 4.7 cm, please choose SMALL.
If it is larger than 5.2 cm, please choose LARGE.
For all index finger circumferences in between(4.7 cm to 5.2 cm), please choose MEDIUM.
Tip:
If you don't have a flexible tape measure, you can simply take a piece of string, shoelace or cord, place it around the joint and then read off the length in centimeters using a ruler, protractor or folding rule.
Bookhoover® Graphite: The pencil tip can be unscrewed as a unit and replaced with a new one.
Bookhoover® Ink: The ballpoint pen pen unit can be unscrewed and fitted with a new refill.
Bookhoover® Stylus: Here, only the front tip is replaced after wear and tear. You can do this with the enclosed pliers.
Important: The pen variants or pen units are not interchangeable.
Info: The Bookhoover® Flow and the Bookhoover® Booky do not have an integrated pen
Because you asked for it.
The Bookhoover® Flow is a customer request and is based on your feedback.
As a light reading aid, the Flow is purely for guided reading to actively guide the eyes through the lines of text and benefit from the increased focus.
The same applies to the Bookhoover® Booky.
Satisfied users have already requested a smaller version as a reading aid for their children. This is precisely where the advantage of guided reading becomes apparent, in order to direct the attention of beginning readers and combine it in a playful way.
